Brigit will provide a mini-history of the environmental movement (perhaps including a survey of environmental legislation of the late ‘60s and the 1970s) and how it built a foundation for the climate change effort beginning in the 1990s. Will likely also include a discussion of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring and its influence on the environmental movement.
